Wedding dust, that is.
We haven't had weddings to attend for sometime cos many of our friends are already married and those who are still single seemed happy with their singleton status and marriage seems a million miles away from their mind, so an invite to a wedding is rarity. Especially one between two people whom we care for and consider as friends.
And so, we spent the entire weekend at both the bride and the groom wedding venue. It was a whole lot challenging with two children in tow, stroller, nursing shawl, a bad full of food and diapers and what not but we MADE it! We basically plonked ourselves furthest away from the other guests and parked all of our strollers of different kinds and made a mini-nursery at the wedding.
And it was definitely good catch up time and tips-exchanging sessions for the Mummies and the Daddies too!
Ok no spooky stories here or anything associated with Hungry Ghosts, but just an update on my baby. But wait, I do call her "Hantu Tetek", so this is quite apt for her afterall.
Well, at 7-months, she has grown two pearlies, sit very well on her own and started solids. I wish I am documenting all of these especially her solids-journey but sorry ah, having two is really sapping all my time and energy. But I will keep trying to be fair.
She seems serious most times, still cautious of strangers but when she warms up to them, she has the gentlest-looking smile (ok Mummy-bias here). And she is a whole load of fun now too cos she has learn to play with the brother and seem to be engaging in some small talk with him when the adults are not around. Nothing too spectaclar or particularly amazing, just normal baby developments but I must say I'm enjoying time spent with her even in the wee hours of the morning (yes, she still wakes up for milk feed at 7-months).
And so we had the last guests to our house on the last week of Hari Raya (almost) - Baby Elly and family. It was a lame excuse of going out so we both visited each other since there were no where else to go that weekend. So here it just for memory sake. But the kids did have a good time!
There you go my kids with the 9-month old Elly and her parents : )
Love the way the band managed to pull this song "live" without going OTT.
It's been only slightly more than two months but we have excess of it. MILK. Yes breastmilk! So much so that I had to coerced the hubster to allow me to buy a freezer to store the expressed milk. So instead of spending money on clothes or shoes during the GSS, I spent $400 to buy a freezer.
And the "saddest" bit, the moment it came, I transferred all the existing frozen milk and guess what, we immediately ran out of space. The new freezer can no longer freeze any more milk. So we ended throwing a couple of bags : )
I'm not complaining, ample supply is good, just hope that it continues when I go back to work though. Now I must find a way to better store the milk and maximise the space in the freezer. Any ideas anyone????
It's official. I couldn't wait and just had to blurt out to the hubster that I might be preggers. I even sneaked out to buy a home kit during our weekly grocery shopping.
This morning as the nation celebrates our 43rd independence, we had our own "mini celebration" too.
It's real.
I am trying to fix an appointment with my previous my gyane but got an auto-reply from KKH that she is no longer with the hospital. Sigh. There goes my plan.
But no despair, I googled and found her. Apparently, she has her own practice now at TMC. So I went on to book an appointment with her on Monday. The nurse asked me the expected question "When was your last date of menses?"
And after putting down the phone I decided typed the date on a website and this was what I got (let's see if it's true):
